Question: There are more tablets than PCs to choose from. Is my next computer a tablet?

 

 

Answer: The introduction of the iPad in 2010 was a transformative event in desktop computing and signaled the end of both the PC computer as well as the Mac computer. Or at least some would like for us to believe this. There is no doubt that the convenience of the tablet over the PC or Mac cannot be questioned, and the numbers don't lie. There has been a huge shift in computing usage since tablets were introduced.

 

Of course Apple was not the only manufacturer that saw the market opportunities of tablet computing. Google's Android operating system is running on a significant portion of today's tablets, and there is so much selection now, both in brand, size, and functionality that one must wade through a great deal of information in order to find the right tablet to fit their needs.
